Product description
Glutathione is a naturally occurring tripeptide (glutamate-cysteine-glycine) and the principal intracellular antioxidant in mammalian systems. Each vial contains 1500 mg of 99% pure lyophilised powder. In laboratory work it serves as a central reference compound for redox balance, phase II conjugation and detoxification pathways, mitochondrial oxidative-stress modelling and studies of glutathione peroxidase and reductase enzyme kinetics.
Research context
Used in assays of reduced/oxidised glutathione ratios, reactive oxygen species buffering, hepatic conjugation models and cellular senescence research.

Storage
Store the sealed vial at 2-8 C, protected from light. Glutathione is oxidation-sensitive: minimise headspace exposure and use reconstituted solution promptly.
Reconstitution notes
Reconstitute with 3-5 mL of bacteriostatic water depending on required concentration. Swirl gently; do not shake.
