Product description

Cagrilintide is a synthetic, long-acting analogue of the naturally occurring peptide hormone amylin, which is involved in appetite regulation, gastric emptying and metabolic signalling. Cagrilintide has been investigated for its activity at amylin receptors and its potential influence on satiety, food intake and body weight regulation. Research has examined its effects on appetite-related neural pathways, energy balance and metabolic responses. Clinical investigations have also explored cagrilintide in combination with GLP-1 receptor agonists, particularly semaglutide, to evaluate complementary mechanisms involved in weight management. Unlike GLP-1 receptor agonists, cagrilintide primarily acts through amylin receptor signalling, providing a distinct research pathway for investigating appetite and metabolic regulation. Pepper Labs supplies Cagrilintide as a 10 mg lyophilised powder intended for laboratory research and analytical applications. Cagrilintide remains an investigational compound, and its safety and efficacy have not been established for general clinical use. For laboratory research purposes only. Not intended for human or veterinary administration.

Research context

Published in-vitro, animal and clinical literature examines cagrilintide in the context of amylin receptor signalling, appetite regulation, satiety mechanisms and metabolic function. Research has investigated its activity at amylin and calcitonin receptors, including downstream pathways involved in energy balance and food intake. Additional studies have examined cagrilintide alongside GLP-1 receptor agonists, particularly semaglutide, to investigate complementary metabolic signalling mechanisms. Pepper Labs makes no claim regarding physiological effects in humans and publishes no dosing protocol. Researchers should establish assay concentrations using validated laboratory methods and relevant peer-reviewed literature.

Handling & disclaimer

All products supplied by Pepper Labs are sold strictly as laboratory reference materials for in-vitro research and analytical use only. They are not medicines, not food, not cosmetics and not for human or veterinary consumption. Nothing on this website is medical advice, and no therapeutic claim is made or implied. Pepper Labs does not publish dosing schedules, administration guidance or protocols of any kind. Storage

Store the sealed lyophilised vial refrigerated at 2–8°C where supported by the manufacturer’s stability data, protected from light and moisture. Short transport excursions at ambient temperature should only be considered acceptable where supported by product-specific stability information. Once reconstituted, keep refrigerated at 2–8°C if compatible with the formulation. The usable storage period must be established from validated stability and preparation data.

Reconstitution notes

For laboratory preparation, introduce a validated compatible diluent slowly down the inner wall of the vial, without directing the stream onto the lyophilised cake. Swirl gently until fully dissolved. Never shake or vortex aggressively. Record the final solution volume and concentration. For a 10 mg vial prepared to a final volume of 1 mL, the nominal concentration is 10 mg/mL. Confirm solvent compatibility and solution stability against compound-specific documentation.
