Product description
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water for injection containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative, which is why it is the standard diluent for reconstituting lyophilised reference standards intended for multi-draw laboratory use. Pepper Labs supplies 10 mL in an amber-glass vial with a sealed stopper. The preservative suppresses microbial growth across repeated stopper punctures, whereas plain sterile water offers no such protection once the seal is broken. One 10 mL vial typically covers the reconstitution of several 2 mL peptide preparations.

Storage
